I am a visual artist working with a variety of different media including porcelain, glass and taxidermy. My aim is to encourage people to pause, look twice and hopefully think about the increasing rate of species extinction.
A career as a veterinary nurse and a lifetime surrounded by animals has left its mark – I have found that I return to animals and nature for inspiration in my own work. I am fascinated by natural history collections and our desire to collect, protect and preserve these things.
Experimenting with different techniques and processes is a constant part of my creative process. I enjoy the new challenges and that feeling of excitement when something new is emerging from this stage.
